Only Loving Does It – (the Oxo song) Too repetitive, and not a challenge.

The Lycra Black and Pink stretchy cat suits yuk, as I am not tall enough to wear that sort of stuff! What were we thinking??? Ah well you can’t have everything.

What was the strangest thing given to you by a fan?
Professionally made Cakes – strange but Yummy!

You had some great fans in the Guys n Dolls days do you recall any memorable moments meeting them? Do any particular ones come to mind?
Meeting Will the undertaker and his wife. Also being mobbed by some girls in Glasgow who managed to relieve me of handfuls of my hair! Also an English chap called Steven who professed his love for me on our GnD special. He came to see my Band in England recently and has a daughter called Martine.

You got together with Julie Dominic and Paul for a couple of songs at Dominics 50th birthday bash? Did it bring back memories of the old days?
Yes great memories, It was a good night!!!

What have you been up to since the band split?
Married Dutch record producer, lived in Epe for four years, had my daughter Daniella and took care of her, and also helped write and produce records with Gerard Stellaard. Musically, I made some records in Holland including a hit with Rob de Nijs, Duet, and a couple of songs with my ex husband Gerard as Zillah which is my real middle name….I KNOW!!! We all went back to England. Gerard and I divorced. I went back into acting and TV commercials and also song jingles. Met my new man, Michael, in the early 90s and we married on Christmas Eve in the Millennium. Recently been playing with a band called The Wedge; we do gigs and private functions just for the fun of it. I’ve even bumped into a few of the old fans along the way, when there has been a venue that the public can go to.

Do you still keep in contact with the other members of Guys n Dolls?
Yes at Parties and functions, although I haven’t seen Thereza for 25 years, and David for 12 years. We’re all back in contact at the moment for the big reunion. It’s great fun.

Do you have a message for all the Guys n Dolls fans still out there?
Yes. Thank You for all your support over the years, and sticking by us for all this length of time, I suspect Julie & Dominic play a great part in that as they have stayed in the music business in Holland which has helped keep the fans….Wicked!!!

Reunion questionnaire

Who was the instigator for the reunion get together?
Everyone seems to think it was Paul's Idea, he doesn't seem to remember mentioning it to Julie and Dominic. They phoned me while I was in Poland, and said do you fancy doing a one off concert, and of course I said, 'yes'.

Why now for the reunion? Had it been planned for a while?
Not really, just thoughts that were being talked over, to get four people together is hard enough, let alone six, especially when one is down under in OZ.

Tell us what it was like meeting each other and performing together again after so long?
It was just like old times, muscle memory and all that, its like riding a bike.

How long had it been ?
28 years I think, it's a very long time I know that.

The TV show was great just like you had never been apart, you even remembered all the dance moves, how many rehearsals were there?
Oh a run through the night before with just 4 of us, then the next day when David and Paul arrived another run through the following morning before the show, then the dress rehearsal at the studio which was very very quick.

The concert in June is great news for all the fans, what songs are you most looking forward to performing?
All of them really, we'll be doing most of the hits, plus solos and duets to break up the show and get a costume change in.

Have you started rehearsing yet ?
Yes, we've been getting together back home in England, and sending stuff off to OZ for Thereze to rehearse, but we will come over before the show to do rehearsals as well.

Can you give us a hint of what the show will be like ?
Probably like an old Guys n Dolls show, with lots of songs, and the usual banter between the group. Great lights and sound.

Message for the fans ?
Look forward to seeing you all at the concert for a sing along, so get your best voices ready for us. xoxoxoxoxoxo M
