About

Dominic Grant was born in London on August 21st 1949.

He studied Art and Design before turning to singing aged just 17.

Dominic made his first TV appearance on a show called Wednesday at Eight with David Jacobs and Sammy Davis Junior.

Prior to Guys n Dolls Dominic spent a lot of time in Rome sketching, and making demos and tapes with a friend.

The Beatles manager Mr George Martin heard one of his tapes and asked him to come to England to discuss his future.

While the discussions were going on Dominic was offered a place in Guys n Dolls.

Julie and Dominic had their first child a son Luke who was born in 1980.

He released a solo album in Holland in 1982 called Dominic.

When Guys n Dolls disbanded in 1982 , Julie and Dominic carried on performing together as Grant & Forsyth.

They got married in 1989 and had their second child a daughter Sophie in 1991.

They went on to have major success becoming Europe's biggest selling married country duo.

Dominic was an amazing singer with a very distinctive voice, and an extremely talented Sculptor. He spent most of his spare time sculpting and has produced some outstanding bronzes, including the bronze bust of Sir Bruce Forsyth which was placed in The London Palladium in London in 2005. His work has been exhibited all around the world..

Dominic had worked for 2 years on the King George IV statue which he made as a gift as part of his legacy to Ramsagte.

Sadly on the 18th November 2020, Dominic passed away very suddenly leaving his family and everyone heartbroken.

Dominic was one very special guy, one of the loveliest people you could ever meet. He had an amazing voice that no one will ever match, he was funny, and always had time for all his fans.

He will always be in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
