We like that we got a page from Julie Sheppard on her website. Most of you know us, but let me introduce ourselves anyway.
We are Dolf and Loes Derks and have been running the fanclub since 18th May 1991 (so almost 30 years). It didn’t stop there. We became good friends with Julie and Dominic and because of that, we came to their homes both in the Netherlands and in England. It became more like part of the family when they sometimes had to leave to go to shows etc as we looked after the horses, the dogs and also many times Sophie.
We also did the merchandising, helped build the stage at theatre shows. And also we drove together to the shows ! It was a wonderful time, which we wouldn’t have missed that for anything. Every 3 to 4 months we published a Fan club magazine and later that became the Newsletter. That was faster to keep fans informed by mail.
We still send Newsletters, although that has become less now, because unfortunately there is less to report since Dominic passed away on November 18th 2020 at the age of 71. It was so intensely sad, he was such a sweet, warm and talented man, who passed away so unexpectedly.
What huge sadness for everyone and for our dear Julie and her lovely family, it was completely traumatic. We will never forget Dominic .
It is so nice that Julie Sheppard has set up this website and we can continue to enjoy both the Guys n Dolls and Grant & Forsyth together .
For our story in Dutch please see the Pdf file at the bottom of the page. Lots of love, Dolf and Loes
Our wonderful team who helped us on the Theater Tours. Here you can see our merchandise stall and our trailer that we carried all Julie and Dominic's stage clothes and props in.
We have a Grant & Forsyth Fan Club Facebook page which you can see on the link below
Elly van den Hoven has made a wonderful Facebook page for the fans which is growing so well. Take a look by clicking below.
