I have been a huge fan of G'n'D since the release of "There's A Whole Lot Of Loving". The first time I saw them was at 'The Fiesta' in Stockton and it was at that concert that I met Gyula, Anne and Debbie, but unfortunately I lost touch with them when the group split up. BUT after 20 years Gyula, Anne and myself are back in touch again (still haven't found Debbie again).
I was also in the fan club when Derek and Veronica ran it but I remember Robert Lundbeck from Wales better. Me and the other "Stockton Lot" used to write to him and got loads of info about the band (like dates.etc .)
I have seen the band at Birmingham, Brighouse, Scarborough, Stoke, Nottingham, Pebble Mill and Stockton (Stockton was for the full week which is why we were known as the "Stockton Lot". We all had the suits, waistcoats and carnations just like them.
We also became good friends with door staff and workers at the Fiesta and often we didnt have to pay as we were either "G'n'D's Guests" or the "Staff's Guests".
I have quite a few CD's of G'n'D and Grant and Forsyth and have just recently found my G'n'D scrapbooks and photo albums when I emailed Martine and sent her a few of the photos.
My son got me a DVD of G'n'D from Paul's website and asked him to sign it for me.
I enjoy listening to my CDs and remembering the good times and funnily enough I can still remember most of the words.
I also met one of Dominics brothers but I can't remember which one. I also remember meeting Bruce and Anthea in Billingham and Bruce asking us to give Julie a message when we saw them that night.
Jon the guitartist was little with dark hair and a moustache - Gary was the tall guitarist with long hair and Dave was the drummer (the whole of the band were friendly).
Can you remember when Paul had a beard? He was always my fave Guy (but he was even better with the beard). It was great when I got the DVD that he signed for me - I often sit and watch it or listen to my G'n'D CD's and think back to the good old days :- )
I was so excited to beable to reunite with Dominic, Julie and Martine in 2015 when Julie Sheppard invited me to her 50th birthday meal and they came along with a few of the fans. Again in November 2019 when Thereza did a show in London and Martine & Julie joined her onstage for a few songs. A great chance for a fan reunion and we all had a brilliant time.
